Decorridos 2 meses e meio desde que aqui coloquei o problema com a minha Magura Durin Race, e cerca de mês e meio desde que enviei a suspensão para a Magura, a novela continua e ainda não tenho o equipamento comigo.....
Para que possamos todos aprender com estas situações resolvi fazer-vos um relato das várias etapas deste processo. Aqui vai:
1 Set. 2012: De acordo com as indicações do vendedor (Probikeshop), procedi ao envio da suspensão para a Magura França, acompanhada da seguinte carta:
"Greetings.
As indicated previously to Magura by Probikeshop, I´ve recently bought a Magura Durin Race 120mm 2012 suspension, with the order number XXXXX (please see invoice in attachment).
However, a few minutes after installation, the first time ever that I tried out the suspension (just pushing it down to observe its performance) the blue aluminum lockout device simply jumped out of the suspension!
The suspension´s installation was performed by the Specialized[SUP]TM[/SUP] store/workshop services where I always take my bike and, although they tried to put the device in place, it still looks very “flimsy” and the lockout simply doesn’t work…
In order to corroborate this matter, I requested the Specialized store to send me a report of the installation process, with special reference to the fact that I delivered them the suspension for installing EXACTLY as received from the Seller (Probikeshop).
Considering Specialized´s know-how / license for assistance of MTB equipment, I have all the reasons to believe that they performed the installation process competently. Here´s the report content (translated from Portuguese to English):

Dear Sirs.,
I come by this, at the request of our client XXXXX, to report and confirm what has been transmitted to you by Mr. XXXXXX regarding the suspension Magura which our client bought from you and delivered in our establishment to be mounted in his bike.
First of all, I would like to introduce ourselves: the "XXXXXXX" has existed since 1992 (20 years) and is (and always has been) a reference in national cycling in Portugal, both in service and in all processes supporting sales and after selling products in the market´s vanguard.
Thus, we are familiar with the process involved to the point that we can ensure that this is a claim that should be treated under warranty.
This suspension was mounted by us following all the normal procedures and (logically) there has been no internal intervention so we were surprised when the client, minutes after leaving with the bike, enters our store with the outer covers in his hand. These pieces would never detach from the fork without a deeper intervention (which was not done) so we are peremptory to state as legitimate the warranty claim presented by our client to Probikeshop/Magura.
We´re available for any other further information you find necessary.

Also, I am certain that when the fork arrived at my home from Probikeshop, it was visible some small traces of chipped paint just under the DLO device (who sent the defective fork originally, Magura or Probikeshop, I have no idea). Nevertheless, this was a problem I chose to neglect if everything else was in perfect condition. At that time, I didn´t do anything to the fork except conducting a quick general visual inspection.
Also, please let me say that, as a owner of two forks (a Rockshox Reba and a Fox Talas), I´m extremely disappointed with Magura´s forks. I must admit that, after reading all the online positive reviews, I was very much anxious to test the Durin Race 2012, only to find a defective and fragile equipment in a brand new suspension!
After all this, I would pretty much opt for returning the suspension and the refund of the payment from Probikeshop, because, as stated above, I´ve considered this first experience with Magura forks very negative.

Conclusões: a loja da Specialized foi impecável e eu acho que argumentei devidamente o meu caso... Para ser sincero, nesta fase já preferia que o reembolso do valor pois já adivinhava mais chatices...
